Leticia Cáceres

Leticia Cáceres has been lauded as one of the most exciting directing talents in the country. She has directed for most mainstage companies in Australia including Melbourne Theatre Company, Sydney Theatre Company, Belvoir St, Queensland Theatre Company, State Theatre Company of South Australia, and her work has toured nationally to Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Arts Centre, Brisbane Powerhouse, Subiaco Arts Centre and internationally to Italy and Austria. Leticia Caceres was Associate Director for Melbourne Theatre Company from 2013 to 2015.

Her productions have received critical acclaim, and multiple Green Room nominations. Her production of Birdland received four Green Room Nominations and won the 2015 Best Direction Award. She is also the recipient of four Drama Victoria Awards for her production for young audiences. Leticia has collaborated with some of the biggest names in film and theatre including Colin Friels, Sigrid Thorton, Leah Purcell, Brendan Cowell, Susie Porter and Simon Stone. She’s the co-founder of nationally-acclaimed RealTV with multi award winning playwright Angela Betzien.
