Ludic Rooms

Ludic Rooms is often called a ‘Digital Arts Organisation’ but at its heart is an ongoing collaboration, a partnership between two practitioners with broadly different creative backgrounds.

Ashley James Brown began his practice as a Computer Scientist and has spent the last decade working as a creative coder, technologist, sound artist and electronic musician. He has created physical interfaces to augment hospital patient experiences, interactive exhibitions that encourage play and designed audio sensory narratives for heritage spaces.

Dom Breadmore’s roots lie in photography and the moving image, he studied and later lectured at Coventry School of Art and Design in the department of Media and Communications. He has spent the last decade using technology to help uncover the stories behind people and places; short film, photography exhibitions, video installation, interactive and new media. He has worked extensively with galleries and museums, local authorities, schools and communities.

Update: Ashley has now left Ludic Rooms and is working as an independent creative technologist and artist.
