For the last two days, Clare Reddington – Creative Director of Watershed, has been running a Playable City Lab in Tokyo, in partnership with British Council, Rhizomatiks, Wired Japan and Mori. Twenty participants including artists, technologists, architects, designers, landscape gardeners, have been imagining surprising ideas for an area of the city called Toronamon Hills. The ideas reappropriate city infrastructure and use technology creatively, to playfully transform the city and connect people.
The lab marks the end of a series of workshops that have taken place in September and October, and been designed by Watershed, British Council and Seiichi Saito of Rhizomatiks, to build the local community.
